Creating Recent Post Widget Using Feedburner

On one of my post on this blog I tackled creating a recent post inputting your feed url using the blogger.com add a gadget located on the side bar of the layout tab window.

This kind of technique is good only if you would like to place your recent post widget on the side bar of your blog that uses blogger.com plat form, but if you want to use it on the content page (like the one uses by all about autozone) then that’s the problem because you do not have an option to customize it based on what you want.

Well, there is another technique where in you can create a recent post widget that you can have an option to customize its content such as adding a display of the first 10 words sentence of your post, adding a date, adding more than 5 of your post, etc.

This technique is by using Feedburner.

How to create a recent post widget using Feedburner

Step 1. Log in to your Feedburner account, if you do not have an account yet you can sign-up for free, just follow this link.

Step 2. Once you sign-in select your feed then select publicize tab.

Step 3. Select the BuzzBoost nav bar, you will be prompted to BuzzBoost window.

Step 4. Then start customizing your recent post widget, display the content that you want. Hit save button when you finish customizing.

Step 5. Copy the HTML code generated on the BuzzBoost and pastes it on the widget box on your blog that uses blogger.com plat form.

There you are! You now have a recent post widget that displayed based on the customized features that you want to display.
